What is FLAC?
Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) is a file format for lossless audio data compression. "Lossless" means that FLAC does not remove information from the audio stream, like lossy compression formats such as MP3, AAC, and Vorbis do. FLAC's primary author is Josh Coalson.
FLAC reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without sacrificing the integrity of the audio source. A digital audio recording (such as a CD track) encoded to FLAC can be decompressed into an identical copy of the audio data. Audio sources encoded to FLAC are typically reduced in size by 40 to 50 percent (46% according to their own comparison).
What is MPC?
Musepack or MPC is an open source lossy audio codec, specifically optimized for transparent compression of stereo audio at bitrates of 160–180 (manual set allows bitrates up to 320) kbit/s. It was formerly known as MPEGplus, MPEG+ or MP+.
Musepack was developed using the MP2 codec as a starting point, but many features have since been added, including:
• subband-wise selectable M/S encoding (as in AAC)
• Huffman coding (as in MP3 and AAC, but more efficient)
• noise substitution techniques (as in ATSC A-52 and MPEG-4 AAC V2)
• pure variable bitrate between 3 and 1300 kbit/s (when needed)
The psychoacoustic model of MPC is based on MPEG ISO model 2, but is extended by CVD (clear voice detection).
How to convert flac to mpc?!
Audio Transcoder allows you to convert an audio file to another format in three easy steps.
Download flac to mpc converter for free, install it and run.
Select the files for conversion.
The first step is to select the files for conversion. Run Audio Transcoder and use the Folder Explorer to browse to the files you want to convert. Then select the file in the File List, drag it to the Drop Zone and drop it there.
Optionally, the program allows you to edit the audio tags of any selected file in the Drop Zone.

Once the files are selected, the next step is to select the output settings.
Select the output settings.
The second step is to select the output settings. To begin, select the folder to save the output file to and choose the action to be executed if the output file already exists - create a new file, overwrite or skip the existing file.

You can also set the program to delete a source file after conversion and preserve the original folder structure, when doing batch conversion.
Finally, you should select the output format and audio quality.

Once the output settings are customized, you go to the final step - conversion.
Convert the audio file(s).
To start the conversion, click Convert. A conversion dialog will appear to show the progress of conversion.

During the conversion, you can change the priority of the process or set an automatic event to be executed when the conversion is over. After the conversion has finished, you can find the files in the output folder you specified.
